About the Project
Located in a central location in the Havralar District, the Ali Galip Old Chocolate Factory (ALGA) consists of two very important structures with its unique architecture, location, and the history of the business it hosts.
The buildings subject to the project are located on 926 Street, which intersects with Havra Street in Güzelyurt Mah.
The project consists of two buildings, one registered and the other unregistered. The unregistered structure consists of a basement and three floors, while the registered structure has three floors. The gross area of the project is approximately 1650 m².
Both structures have unique facade characters reflecting the periods they were built.
The buildings constructed with a reinforced concrete carrier system will be structurally strengthened. The project was designed by Salih Seymen Architecture Office with a restaurant serving regional cuisine on the ground floor, kitchen workshops on the upper floors, and a multi-purpose hall function.
A contract was made with ALGA's heirs and a company named ALKEM was established. The current owners of the buildings are authorized in all matters related to the operation of the company.
According to the project, which includes the two parcels that used to belong to the factory; ALGA, which is planned to be a center that will host all kinds of activities in gastronomy, chocolate museum, culinary arts, design and art, will become one of the important event venues of 926 Street and Kemeraltı when the project is completed, and will become a point of attraction especially for young people in the Havralar District.
