Real Estate and Cultural Heritage Activities
TARKEM is currently carrying out a total of 19 real estate projects in order to protect the urban values in Kemeraltı and its Surroundings Urban Renewal Area and to integrale them into the society. The project focused its work on 3 regions, namely Basmane Region, Kestelli Region and Havralar Region, which were selected from 19 sub-regions determined in Izmir Historical City Center.

Real Estate Content Development Activities
TARKEM carries out content development studies for real estate projects located in Izmir Historical City Center together with many national and international institutions, organizations and civil society organizations.
UNESCO Historical Port City of Izmir
The Historical Port City of Izmir was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Temporary List in 2020. In line with the studies carried out, the Nomination File and its annexes were submitted to the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on 30 December 2022 under the name of “The Historic Coastal Trading Settlement: Izmir”.
Izmir Historic Kemeraltı Real Estate Investment Fund
The fund, which is the first impact investment in the real estate investment fund ecosystem, was launched under the leadership of TARKEM in cooperation with Re-Pie Portfolio Management Company. TARKEM and Izmir Historical Kemeraltı Real Estate Investment Fund, have started to raise funds by reinforcing their leading role in Turkey on the urban renewal scale.
